The MFA Fashion Design and Society at Parsons The New School for Design's graduate program first of its kind in the United States. Aiming to bridge the gap between industry and education, MFA Fashion Design and Society program reshapes the teaching of fashion design in the context of the global political economy. Students learn to consider the design, production and distribution cycles, as well as the social, ecological and critical fashion on self-directed projects supported by the fashion industry.

Interdisciplinary Research

The program combines intensive studio-based projects with design research. Research areas include sustainability, globalism, media studies, social sciences and management. His interdisciplinary approach broadens students' understanding of fashion in contexto.Sua emphasis on new technologies in fabrics and construction allows students to develop into outstanding designers and leaders in the field.

Supplementary classes in film, photography, presentation skills and expand students' design language and visual communication. This course also prepares them for collaborative environments typical workplace professionals.
